Heather Taylor (she/they) is a birth doula, childbirth educator, and Body Ready Method® Certified Pro who supports families in preparing for birth with knowledge, confidence, and deep connection to their instincts.

Heather began supporting births in 2017 after the transformative birth of her second child led them to the path of birth work. What started as a personal journey quickly became a calling, and since then they have supported families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum transition.

Heather’s work centers on helping families understand their options and participate actively in their birth experience. She believes that informed consent, respectful care, and strong support allow families to approach birth feeling empowered rather than overwhelmed.

Heather’s training includes certification as a Body Ready Method® Certified Pro, Certified Lactation Educator, and training in the Rebozo technique. They have also completed the Advanced Full Spectrum Doula course through Cornerstone and continue to deepen their knowledge through ongoing study in evidence-based birth practices and holistic preparation for birth and postpartum. Heather is also the founder of Consciously Connected Childbirth, an educational platform designed to help families approach birth with intention, trust, and preparation.

She is deeply passionate about supporting families in understanding informed consent and navigating the maternity care system. Heather helps families feel confident in their choices while also providing grounded advocacy and protective support within the birth space when needed. For Heather, a positive birth experience includes not only the health and safety of the baby, but also the dignity, well-being, and strength of the person giving birth.

*While the professional birth and postpartum doulas listed on the website are carefully screened and selected by the Birth Education Center, they are not employees. All doulas invest in the program by paying a yearly listing fee. By entering into contract with your doula, you do so at your own risk. The doulas are responsible for the means and methods for providing non-medical support to families, within their scope of practice.
